Orkun Wooden Door Panel
The Orkun Wooden Door Panel is raw, weathered, and unapologetically real. There is no polish here, no painted finish, no attempt to make it look like something it is not. What you see is a pair of solid teak and reclaimed wood planks that have stood somewhere for decades, gathering the marks of a life lived. Scratches, scuffs, natural cracks, and a soft, dusty brown surface that tells you exactly how old this door is without saying a word.
The ironwork is where this piece truly announces itself. A large hand-forged latch stretches across both panels, flanked by two ornate iron towers with pointed finials. Below them sits a heavy, studded lock plate with traditional clasp detailing, and on the left, a ring pull surrounded by a decorative iron bird or serpent figure with punched dot work along its body. Every piece of hardware is original, riveted directly into the wood, darkened with age and still firmly in place.
Two rectangular cutouts at the top suggest this door was built into a larger frame, likely at the entrance of a haveli, a storehouse, or a rural homestead. It was made to keep things safe, and it looks like it did its job well.
Mount it on a wall as a statement piece. Use it as a functional panel or a dramatic focal point in an entryway, living room, or loft space. It suits industrial interiors, rustic farmhouse settings, and any home that values honesty in its objects. This is a one-of-a-kind piece. It will not be reproduced or restocked.
