The Zeki Wooden Door Panel is built the way things used to be built. Solid teak planks, brass-studded iron straps, and a carved centre post that runs the full height of the door. There is nothing decorative for the sake of it here. Every element has a purpose, and the beauty of this piece comes from how well those elements have held together over time.
The centre post is the heart of it. Hand-carved from top to bottom with leaf motifs, floral rosettes, rope-twist borders, and square medallions at each junction point, it divides the two plank panels with a level of detail that rewards a closer look. The horizontal brass straps cross both panels at regular intervals, each fixed with large dome-headed studs that have aged to a deep, warm patina. They were there to hold this door together, and they still are.
The teak itself has settled into a beautiful natural tone, warm amber with rich grain lines that swirl and shift across each plank. There are surface marks, small cracks, and the kind of honest wear that tells you this door stood at the entrance of something that mattered. A haveli, a courtyard, a merchant's home. It earned every mark it carries.
Mount it on a wall as a tall, striking art piece. Use it as a functional door panel. Place it in an entryway, a living room, or a bedroom where it can anchor the space. This is a one-of-a-kind piece. It will not be reproduced or restocked.
