The Zeliha Wooden Door on Stand is a piece with soul. Carved from reclaimed wood and mounted on a clean black iron stand, it brings the warmth of old Indian craftsmanship into your home as a freestanding work of art. The natural wood finish has aged into a deep, honeyed brown. No paint, no pretence, just teak that has lived a life.
Each of the six panels carries its own hand-carved narrative. Paired floral rosettes sit at the top like quiet sentinels. Two peacocks perched on flowering vases fill the centre panels with grace and movement. At the bottom, a pair of carved female figures, likely apsaras or attendants, stand on lotus bases, palms together or holding offerings. An iron sliding bolt with padlock loop runs across the middle, a reminder that this was once a working door that guarded a real threshold.
Mounted on its stand, the Zeliha works beautifully as a room divider, a hallway statement, a pooja room backdrop, or simply leaning against a wall as the most interesting thing in the room. It asks for nothing but a little space and gives back a lot of character.
Apply natural wood oil or beeswax every 6–12 months to nourish the wood
Avoid direct sunlight, heat, and excessive moisture
Wipe iron hardware and stand with a dry cloth; apply light oil if rust appears
Keep the stand on a level surface to ensure stability
