Stripped back and full of soul. The Barbara Wooden Coffee Table is carved from a single block of reclaimed wood into a shallow tray-top form, supported by four solid tapered legs. There's nothing complicated about it, and that's precisely what makes it so appealing.
The hollowed tray surface is scooped gently from the centre, creating natural raised edges that cradle whatever you place on it. Candles, small succulents, a collection of stones from your last holiday, a morning cup of tea. Everything stays put, everything looks intentional.
The wood itself is left almost entirely untouched. A soft, natural brown tone with visible tool marks, grain lines, and the occasional knot or crack that speaks to the timber's age and origin. The legs are hand-hewn, slightly irregular in form, giving the Barbara a handmade, almost primitive quality that feels grounding in a world of mass-produced sameness.
It's small enough to tuck beside an armchair, sturdy enough to use daily, and distinctive enough to stand on its own as a sculptural object. Works wonderfully in wabi-sabi interiors, earthy minimalist spaces, or anywhere that values imperfection as a design principle.
